2600 hubcaps have been unavailable for about 18 months, meaning they have become a fairly scarce -- but hopefully only temporarily.

At the beginning of this year, an ebay seller from Italy had some hubcaps available, which gave me hope that a new batch of hubcaps have been made. However, I have not been able to confirm that yet -- or what the quality is if they indeed have made made again.

There are 3 different types of hup caps for 2600 cars. The attached page from the parts catalog shows, from top to bottom:
  • The Berlina hub cap (with 102 number).
  • The 102 (2000) hub caps used on very early 2600 Sprint and Spiders (I'm guessing on the first 100-200 cars).
  • The hub cap seen on most 2600 Sprint and Spiders, which is also the hub cap used on the 2600 SZ (although 2600 SZ has Borrani disc wheels with steel center and alloy ring instead of steel wheels, as can be seen on the page from 2600 SZ parts catalog).

I've never seen the inserts being sold by themselves. I think many owners may need them (including me). This could be a group buy opportunity to have them made.

I've had them made with good results, they were not cheap, especially since I needed to make 10 at least. If someone is interested, I still have a few left, and I guess some more could be made.

I believe I have 6 left, and would at least like to keep 2. Maybe the best thing is to get a quote for a new production run. I suggest we wait a little to get a good idea of how many would be needed.
