Carrozzeria Bertone
For Alfa Romeo has Bertone designed around 47 different designs up till now, many beauties among the.
I personally fell that I know the all. But there is one of them ,where my knowledge I am total blank.
On the Motor show in Turin in 1955 Bertone presented a new design a Roadster on 1900 mechanics.
It was presented under the name Perla.
Is there among the good people in this forum someone that know something/anything about this
Alfa Romeo Perla designed by Carrozzeria Bertone

The Perla originally appeared at the Torino show in 1955 as shown in the grey car below. It was later revised and repainted white. The rear tail light detail was changed and the front wheel arch detail revised. Hope this helps and the pics are ok.

Looks kind of like a Renault Caravelle. Doesn't do much for me...

The photo on the left has (to my eye anyway ) hints of the NSU SP1000 Spider, which was sort of a reduced scale Thunderbird.

Yes, that too...
As rare as it is, there are many other more common 1900s I would rather have...

Thank you for the nice pictures, I suppose they are from the above mentioned book. Is there a possibility to se it from the front.
The Renault came first in 1959 and it was a Frua design. So maybe he vas inspired by this Bertone Perla

Thanks for you replay.
To me it is a bit strange that a Bertone design like this is almost unknown.
Compared with other designs on Alfa Romeo at this time, it seems from the pictures very far away from watt ells we se in this period

I hope this photo, "stolen" at ebay , is what you are looking for...

Bertone also built a 1900 Coupe version. Like with the Spider, there is not much infomation availiable

Without being an expert of the Alfa - Bertone relation, it is obvious that the start for the intense and rewarding cooperation was the Giulietta Coupe.
Btw, the Bertone designed Giulietta Spider was also beautiful, but the Pininfarina version was chosen for the series...
Although Bertone was founded in 1912, it seems to me that before WWII, Bertone did not have the reputation like Touring, Zagato or Farina had those days.
Please correct me if I'm wrong
Best regards
Ciao Carlo

A very interesting Picture, sorry to say Carlo, I think its a mystery one.
Look at the line of the front mudguard it is droving onto the doors, its nit on the other pictures of the Bertone.
At the first sight I thought it was Vignale La Fleche, but there is a diff in the way the side air intake is made.
But what is this

I agree, you are right! I got trapped by the form of the windshield
Touring, many thanks for the identification of this Cabriolet, I never came over this "Vignale La Fleche" before!
The front reminds me of the 1900 Boano Coupe....

Nevertheless, I'll keep my eyes open for the Bertone Roadster
Ciao Carlo
