1965 2600 Spider, must go
Hi everyone.
It breaks my heart but I have to sell my '65 2600 spider. It's been in the family, first my Mother than me, since 1966. It has approx. 45k miles, is all original and complete (as I say to friends and admirers (of the car) "original tires with original tubes with original air"), and typical for Alfa's a fair amount of rust (ok extensive would be a better term). The car was last inspected in the early 80s, and last started around 1988.
The joke in the family is that I've restored it twice now; from my parents house to my old house and from my old house to my current house! The plan has been all along to restore her back to her original beauty and grace, but sadly I've come to the stark reality that I will not be doing this in the near future. It pains me to let her go. I would like to sell her complete because it doesn't seem right to part out a low mileage original beauty like this.
My problem is that I do not have any idea how much she is worth in the state she is in. You see, on this board and elsewhere, a very large range in prices asked and received for anything 2600 spider. This weekend I'm going to roll her out of the garage and snap some photos, so look for them Sunday or Monday. Another problem is I'm not sure where the best place to advertise the car. Any thoughts?
Thanks for your time, and I love the board!

Some poor quality picts
Snapped a couple photos with my cell phone, I'll do better this weekend (or next, we are getting rain on Saturday and I'm traveling Sunday) with my SLR.
The number next to the Superleggera Touring is 13446
Engine
Front End
From the Back Quarter

To be honest, I really don't know what it is worth. I need to access some of the feedback, and do a little research. Hopefully this weekend I'll put some more photos up demonstrating the condition.
You could always give me an offer, and that would go a long way in helping me determine the value... in fact I'd be very receptive to outrageously high offers

Thanks for the pictures, Chris!
FYI: The chassis number starts with AR*19xxxx and is stamped into the firewall (about 5/8" high and 4-5" across) -- just to the left of the Touring badge you've shown us (see this post).
The car shows some patterns of a Series 1 car (hood hinges near the windshield) and some of a Series 2 US model (stainless spears instead of side indicator lights). The engine compartment seems to be fairly complete. The upper radiator hose to the intake manifold is not original, but that will be a relatively easy fix. I have a hunch the nose may have been modified and the bumper mounts were removed -- but the pictures don't show enough detail to tell for sure. I look forward to see more pictures of your car.

is it "Med Grigio Metallic" or is it a non-metallic gray?

The bumper mounts are there, it's just that the photo is poor. I have the bumpers, they are currently stored, inaccessibly, behind the car. The car is original and unmolested (except my brother did a bit of body work back in the 80s that will have to get redone properly). The top is in good condition, the rear plastic window is quite scratched up though.
I got a quote about 5 years back from Black Horse Garage in Bridgeport for the body restoration, proper but not frame off, for about $15k. At the time he hypothesized that a full restoration, again not frame off, with mechanicals and interior (in leather of course) would total about $25k.
Here are a few more pictures

Thanks again for your comments! Any info you can provide it greatly appreciated.
