Finally my 2000 Touring Spider left the shop today...

Hello

I want to share with all of you the first pictures of my 2000 Touring Spider year 1961, after 4 months of complete and exhaustive restoration.

In my opinion it is 97% complete with small details to fix or do: radio, change the license plate lamp, find a jack and Pirelli decals for the hoses.

All comments are very welcome.

Thanks

Ricardo

Very nice car.. looks really nice.. Please publish more pictures
My car just left the shop today to.. a 2600 spider..
I would not recommend Rhodybody work in san Raphael.. The job is very nice, but the price of repainting the car after delivered in bare metal was astronomical . The owner billed me like lawyers do, and took me to the cleaner.. I should have known better when I saw the other unfinished projects in the shop.. the owner of the cars went broke before he finished the job. I had to wait a year and I am embarrassed to say what I spent.. I sure did my share to help the economy this year.....

Ricardo you should be proud, your car looks great. Please share with us some of your sources. I have a 2600 spider in need of a new lens all round, a template to create a rear seat and your wheels look great. Are they new? Look forward to more details and photos.

Herve, thanks for your nice comments. The tool kit is complete, a guy is restoring the inside cover blue material and then will be complete. I spent mostly time learning about the car, of course money and energy but the dream of having it finish help.

Most of the parts for this project were bought in different flea markets in Europe, mainly Italy and Germany, if you are interested in the tail lights lenses, I have a brand new set, please send me an email and will send you pictures. I will be posting more detailed pictures in the next days. The wheels are new chrome Borrani with the original Alfa Romeo hubs for knock offs.

This was the original colors for the car and I have a brochure with the same color combination with all the details for the upholstery.

Felicidades Ricardo, quedó muy bonito.

BTW, if Herve doesn´t want the tail light lenses, I could certainly use a new pair

Saludos
