According to my info only a few cars were built:

2 red cars at Autodelta as 3L rally cars. One of these cars was not finished until recent years. The first car was sold to Japan to a collector, the other one is some times to be seen in Zandwoort in Holland on oldtimer meetings.

Plans were to build 100 cars in Germany by the Reif company in 1977. However they went bankrupt and only 2 cars were built. 1 champagne and 1 test car which was red. The champagne was sold to Italy, while the red one is in south of Germany, person known.

One car was built here in Norway in 1983 by myself and a friend. This one was black and the later owner claims he rebuilt to 3L engine. The car had a Zender kit. The car is still in existence, but rusty according to the present owner.

One car was built by Manfred Kopp in south Germany in the nineties. He got some original Autodelta GTV8 parts which made it easyer to make this conversion. This car has champagne colour and carburettors. Very nice and I have driven it! Sunday thunder and high revs (8-9000 rpm)!

These are the cars I know of.

A comparison of Montreal and GTV8 is difficult, but the constructor of the Montreal said in an interview that an Alfetta GTV with the Montreal V8 engine would have been a dream combination! There were plans to have a short production run of the GTV8 of about 200 pcs to make a homologation basis for the rally car, but the plans were dropped because production at Alfa of the Montreal engine was dropped.
