Hey Gary, welcome to AlfaBB!

At first, you had me thinking that we shared the same GTV. I recently removed the Talbot mirror and sold it on eBay. I actually missed it for a month after removing it. I was always looking at the fender when changing lanes. Fortunately I have adjusted to the Alfa repro mirror I mounted on the door. I really dislike that antenna. It should be mounted on an old RV complete with a "Good Sam Club" sticker. I can't believe that this type of mirror was mounted in Europe!

I wish I had a steering wheel lock! My GTV was first sold in Germany. The original owner brought it over in 1995. The second owner had her for five years in the Bay area and then for two years in Portland. Fortunately he never registered her up in Oregon so I got to keep the black CA plates. Although, I had to fight the CA DMV for them.

I understand about the previous owner of your GTV crying. I felt that way when my Spider drove off with its new owner. Hell, I felt that way the other day when I let some muffler jockey drive my GTV up onto their lift. Stupid f**ker couldn't get it into reverse even after I showed him how to do it several times. "Push the stick shift down and then go into reverse!" I will NEVER let anyone like that drive my GTV again!!!

My GTV is still bone stock. The only upgrades I am thinking of are some stiffer lower springs. One of these days.

Let's see some pictures of your '67 Gary! I wanna drool...
