I think that George was quite correct when he said that we Alfa Romeo owners should join, support and help the National Alfa Romeo Owners Club every way we can. Permit me a bit of history. The National club started back in the mid west as a support group for the very few Alfa Romeo owners here in the USA. It grew from that small beginning to cover the whole of the USA and included members of other countries as well. A great while back, the body politic( national Board) made a ruling after quite a bit of pros & cons that it would be a requirement that open cars( spiders) would have to have roll bars in order to compete in national events. This caused the Norther California contingent to break off and they formed the ARA. There have been moments when talk of getting back together was entertained to the betterment of the Alfa Romeo people as a whole.
Folks, we are a very small part of a large automobile population. We need as many numbers on our side in order to make any sort of impact on those that make the rules we all have to live by. Like the old adage, divide and conquer. It still fits.
Never mind that you would rather not be a card carrier, never mind that you are not a joiner, never mind that you do not support their point. Your presence on the rolls is very much needed. Thats my thoughts, Whats yours ?
