I was planning on doing a continuity check, but with eight terminals, I don't know which are supposed to be connected in each position. All I know is that voltage isn't reaching any other terminal from the one that is hot.
My switch did just snap out, but it took a bit of wiggling and finagling and one or two Italian curses to get it to completley give up its hold and come through with all the wires.
