Question Diagnostic Button Where?

Hi all,
I am new to this forum and in need of help.I own a '90' build '91' release 164 and I need to know where the diagnostic button is I've been told its under the steering column but I just cant find it.So am I blind? Or was I given false info.Any help would be appreciated.

P.S I live in australia just in case it might be important to my querie.

Question has been raised before either here or on the 164 digest (sorry, can't remember) and it was not clear to me that the non-NorthAmerican models had the button in the same place. On NA cars, though, the engine check diagnostic button is on the steering column about halfway between the wheel and the dash, or maybe closer to the dash, and about 7:30 by the clock in orientation. Hope this helps....

No I dont think it's there.In fact pretty sure it's not.You dont have to take the steering column shroud off do you?
