What I read on Internet about them is that this car put them in the black last year and pocket rocket version is or is to be a world rally car sorta like the WRX for Subie see this: Suzuki SX4 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Back to Fiat 500 for a bit see this: 2008 Fiat 500 in the US
I will be checking this car out at Freak Out next month in PA. Car at Sam's house now.

...To offset the 'loss' on the [i]dog[i] they have to take in to write the contract!

My 16 yr old daughter has been driving my 164 now for a month. However I'm limiting her driving to only her tennis league and lessons and her job. So far, so good (knock on wood)

On weak items, I second the door handle issue. My daughter had the driver's door freeze on her last winter, and she had a friend from work come out to try to "help." They rolled the rear driver's side window down, and he reached over the grabbed the inner driver's door handle and ...
you guessed it!
it snapped off in his hand. Sadness and woe. Thank goodness I had a new spare. My last one, with no more available. Keep your door seals intact!

I wonder if the flap over the parking brake lever has survived. Also I had to fix a lever once that wouldn't stay up - the teeth had worn off the ratchet, presumably from the lever being pulled without the button pushed (if you know what I mean).
Anyway I wish I could use my 164 as a 'daily drive' instead of my Punto. The 164 is just so much more luxurious and feels 'special'. But the fuel economy and manoevrability of the Punto has the 164 beaten. Oddly, the new 500 comes with the more basic 8v 1.2L engine (my Punto is the more powerful 16v 1.2) but the pick of the new FIAT engines are the diesels.

No actually the BIG PURSE did not break off swivel mount of the mirror, but it destroyed the glass and glass frame. so it was impossible to see a reflection in it. I have added it to my pile of maybe I can fix it items.
Passenger outer door handle still hanging on but crack getting longer.
