If this is the dual setup for Q4 and some other models well it can work with some mods. I would run the slow speed on the right side fan and high on both or the other fan.
I have wiring diagrams for the fan or if you have cardisc DVD it is on there too.
I think this unit will end up going for more than it is worth once done.
I like the dual just in-case one fan motor does on me I have a back up. I do not think that the dual will put out much more CFM than the single.
A large single High power, high quality fan like the one on the 164 I think puts out at least 3600 possibly 4000+CFM while a dual may only put out 2900-3500CFM.
The single has Huge blades a very good motor made by gates or AG(autogamma). Both very good. I believe the dual puts out close the the same, so no real cooling upgrade.
It is a nice upgrade to dual as mentioned the only real gain at least that I can think of is if one fails you have a back up and it covers more area with both on.
Only issue I see besides wiring is fitment, 24V radiator is a bit longer than 12V. This oen goes end to end of the 24V so it may not fit perfect.
Ciao!
Jason

Thanks for the replay jason, only reason i was thinking of getting it was for the a/c i tought it might improve the a/c wile stuck in traffic, i noticed that when the car is not moving the a/c gets really warm and meybe having two fans would help.

Running fan on high speed helps too. I disconnect brown and blue wires from low speed resistor connector and jump wires together for the summer.

Resister located in top of radiator fan shroud under relay and coil bracket on top radiator support.

I have the twin system on my Q4 and it works great never any temp problems. For the ac only one fan is running so i dont think you get much improvment their. The second fan only runs when the temp is going over 205 and then cuts out again at 199. I wouldent recomend wiring it both running with the ac it draws a lot of amps. When both fans are running and the engine is idling the volts go down from 14 to 12,5. No charging of battery at all.
