45mm Q intake runners for sale, 210hp -> 230hp

Sorry for posting this on here instead of For sales. I thought this is specific to 164 and I would get better visibility here.

I don't think I need to explain what this is. It's been discussed here many times. This will turn your 210hp 24valve V6 164 LS engine into a genuine 230hp Quadrifoglio engine. I put this on ebay, sorry to those of you who don't like ebay but I am an ebay adict since 97.

Check it out at
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7947218895

I don't have specific asking price so I listed at $9.99 for the whole kit and will see what happends.

There were two differences in the engine breathing system that accounts for the 20 hp increase: (1) the larger diameter intake runners, and (2) a less restrictive exhaust system. To be fair, you should also point out that a 164 LS owner will also need to upgrade his exhaust in order to receive the full 164Q horsepower.

Exhaust is the same...

Only the tips are different and don't account for anything on this car.... It was all in the runners...

- Have some pictures from underneath... Will find them and post! Same headers, down-pipes, cats, centers, rears....

This is absolutely not correct. I checked the Alfa Parts online catalog and there are two completely different parts numbers for each of two of the exhaust sections. Here is the info. from Alfa Parts catalog:

Middle silencer section:

LS 60590147
Q 60585835

End silencer section (which includes the tips):

LS 60573360
Q 60598500

It also only stands to reason that more intake air will require more exhaust capacity in order to achieve the full benefits.

Yes it's true that both center and rear are different. And I stated in the auction accordingly that you will get "near" 230hp not exact 230hp because of the exhaust difference. However squadra tuning in Germany is claiming that intake modification alone will get full 230hp and increase in torque throughout the RPM range if you believe their dyno results (I am little skeptical my self though..)
