How to remove seat with an inop seat motor?

I just bought a '91 164S and the drivers seat is stuck all the way back. (Talk about a REAL Italian drive getting it home) I did the usual checks to the system and it looks like the seat needs to come out. I'm following the manual and I've removed the 3 bolts on the longitudal motor and the e clip on the cross shaft. It says to slide the cross shaft towards the motor to free it from the left track and then it can be removed from the motor. I've tried to slide it over by prying with a screwdriver but it won't move. Is it just tight or am I missing something?

Never mind. Finally got the cross shaft loose with a bigger tool and got the seat out. Turns out the left and right seat tracks were in a bind or just stuck. Put it back together and works fine.
