Hi Mike,
I had the climate control on mine working intermitantley when the car was at idle, ended up being the radiator fan was not working properly and sucking to much power out of the battery, this in turn caused the relay behind the dash to keep flicking on and off.

Cheers Trevor

You might want to verify pink wire in ignition switch wiring is not losing power from bad contact in ignition switch. Troubleshoot by jumping a jumper wire between red power wire and pink wire at connector near switch and see if systems stay on line (open lower dash fuse panel cover and locate connector to right of steering column).

Thanks Steve, I am looking to purchase this alfa today, the PO also claims that he changed the battery and alternator, however at times the battery light goes on, showing that the alternator is not charging, I did not see it go on in the short time I inspected the car, however he said after driving for an hour or so it usuallly goes on, any advice?

I would have check alternator voltage and amperage output and if low or intermittent I would then remove voltage regulator from alternator and inspect brushes if I was troubleshooting that problem.

Well I purchased the L yersterday. The guages and climate control area as well as the radio and odometer were all dead as i left the po home, however after driving for about 15 min all the lights on the dash came on and then bang! everything works. It has been doing this intermintantly, Do you still recomned the same diagnostic of the alternator?
