New headgaskets low on power, stalls on drive

Hi folks

I'm trying to help a friend who has a late model '93 164L and he just had the head gaskets replaced. The only problem is that it is low on power. As soon as it's put into Drive the car stalls. Any ideas?

Sounds like he got it out of time

Re-check the cam belt timing and make sure it is right. There may also be something unplugged. Go through everything that was unplugged and all that wasn't.
