Euro Headlights

I was thinking about getting Euro Headlights for my 164 LS. I want to find out how much work is involved to install them? About how much money would it cost to get the work done from a local Alfa Shop? And is it possible for me to install them myself?

I appreciate any help.
Thank You

It is possible to do yourself if you have a bit of wiring know-how. Also are you thinking about the e-code Elmas or the projectors? Essentially you have the same wires doing the same job as in the us lights, they're just not grouped in the projectors (the high and low beam are now separate bulbs rather than a single dual-filament, same goes for the turn signal and parking(city) lights. If you choose to take it on yourself, there's plenty of help here to get you through. I would say a shop could do it in about an hour, give yourself a few hours as you'll want to take your time. Oh! and where are you getting them? whatever you do, don't get any from the UK (or from a rhd car!) they'll be shining right into oncoming traffic.

I'm getting the projectors from my cousin in Italy. He knows a guy that is selling them. I wanted to see how much work was going to be involved before I got them. I'll post another thread once I get them for some help on them unless I get them put in at a shop. Any idea how much it would cost to be put in?

I'm guessing 1-2 hours labor at most? That is if they agree to do a non-street legal modification (projectors are not DOT approved.)

You need Euro Brackets too!

Don't forget to request the metal brackets that attach to the back of the units and then are secured to the inner fenders. They are used to help aim and hold the lights in place. The US brackets are different.

Also, see if you can get the power connector from the European harness. This helps A LOT when you remove and install these lights.

Also, get the filler piece that goes under the assembly. The projector are a little slimmer than the regular lites
