Door seals??

Today I inspected all my door seals to find out the source of air noise at freeway speeds in the cabin mainly from driver side door (becos I drive on tht side ). I saw some weired lining of door seal. You can see it clearly in the pics below.



The seal is out and above the groove on both sides of front door and the seals are inside the groove on both rear doors. Are the seals supposed to be inside the groove all the way from front to back.
