Bumpity Bump...
Brian and I have been collaborating to bring this to life. You can contact me with your information to post to the register once we get a web page up and running. I will post the website here. I will see what I can do to get an interactive PDF page so you won't have to email me directly as the page will be sent to me instead. I am looking very much to hearing from all that have a 94 or 95 Q. If you know of any wrecked cars please send that information along.

Enrique,
Post that on this thread to re-open this discussion.
http://www.alfabb.com/bb/forums/show...?t=3100&page=3
I beleive I have also seen that data, It was in a NA Alfa distributer report I had the pleasure of seeing once. Think about how many of that number are still left on the road
|
As suggested by RossoGTV4Me, I'm placing a comment here, which I had originally posted on another thread...
I'm sure I have seen the number of Qs imported into the U.S. (in '94 and '95) documented as 68 in total. I've tried looking for this info on the internet, even though that is not where I saw it originally, but haven't found it. The numbers were given by someone who either worked for Alfa (when they were here), or had a dealership... (I wish I had saved much of the info, brochures, etc. that hve gone through my fingers over the years...)
Best regards,

Dealership info
What about contacting some of the long standing Alfa dealerships in Portland, Seattle etc and see what they might have in their archives if they haven't sent all of it to the dump? I would imagine that there is some information out there for the asking, might have to be patient or provide some help if they need to dig.

Mine should say 2004, IL (that is when it became a registered IL car). Not 2006, CT as it currently reads.
I am at least owner #3.
My 1995 was Red with Tan but is now Red with Black OEM Recaros.
Why not track mileage too? I am at 125K

Gents,
I'm very much in favor of the register, and adding detail is absolutely great, but I think we need to be a bit sensitive towards publishing complete information in a public forum. Remember that this info was furnished via PMs for a reason. I'm not saying that I have a personal motive to limit the information, but in my experience as a club officer in AROC chapters, members are very sensitive towards having their full private information published. (That's one reason why people are reluctant to provide information.) At the very least, I think we need to obtain a release or postive response before publishing. I'd like to hear some opinions...
Christopher,
Great job! Just sent you a PM on some additional info on my car.
Best regards,

Enrique, I am very sensitive about publishing information as I do run 3 other registers. Hence, I am only going to publish what is currently on the list. I do keep a printed file of all information shared for who ever gets the register after I am long gone. This way there is historical tracking. There will be a website created for the 164Q N.A. Register with a registration page and shared photos of cars, brochures, video's etc.
At least now we have a register of complete chassis numbers showing year and the number for those years.
Today I will be making recommended changes and try putting a Google search code in the header so people can find the register until I can get its own domain set up.

164q Registry
Hi Christopher,
I am the current owner of the 94 Q ZARED33RXR6291029.
It lives in Massachusetts but is not driven in the winter. It is Black and Tan and currently has 70k miles.
I just completed a mechanical 'restoration' (engine out) with all wear related parts of the driveline and suspension replaced or rebuilt. Drives like new! This winter I plan to do some cosmetic refurbishment (dings, etc.).
I bought the car from Michael Fitzgerald (second owner) and he told me the car was delivered by the now defunct Gaston Andrey Alfa/Ferarri dealer in Framingham, Massacusetts. Gaston famously raced GTA's in the Trans Am series but retired from the car business when Alfa left the USA.
Regards,
Greg Stidsen

For mine:
ZARED33R8S6310084 * 1 owner CT 2006 JASON HAGEN
the info needs updating. I am at least the 3rd owner. It is registered in Illinois. It was Red with Tan leather but is now Red with Black OEM recaro interior.
also,
ZARED33R9S6310241 BLACK/MAROON * 1 owner IL 2007 DAN ORFEI should read Dante Orfei, not Dan. I know because I am his Alfa mechanic!
