Clicking Behind Instrument Cluster

I have what sounds like a clicking relay behind the instrument cluster.
Pulled the cluster out this evening. I suspected the AC relay from another post

Here's the deal. Doesn't usually make noise at idle, if I rev the motor up to about 1200-2000RPM I hear the relay buzzing/clicking. Hear it more off the
throttle but that's probably just due to reduced engine noise. Seems to
be worse when cold and HVAC on/off makes no diff. Been like this for a while
can't remember when it started. Any Help Here?? AC is not operational
and hasn't been but I did try and charge it this summer to find that it
had a leaky seal.

I need to take the cluster out to fix a dash light and the light rheostat
Odo button panel that was pushed in.

Maybe it sounds like behind cluster but may be a stepper motor so open glove box and pop out little panel with tire pressure decal on it and disconncet stepper connector and see if the clicking stops.

If you do take out cluster and disconnect any connectors to it do not turn on power as that will give you a air bag fault and you then will have to reset air bag ECU. That is another process that can be done following tech bulletin doing the exactly 3 second rules in specfic order just tricky to do.

Not the steppers. Already have that, this is different. Not bad,
doesn't seem to affect anything just annoying.

Watch the trip odometer. Is it trying to register? If it is, then just push the reset button for a little more time, and maybe it will reset properly.

Forgot about that bet that is the clicking noise. You said something about push buttons on bezel being stuck didn't you?

Some after-market stereos with not enough capacitance, cause the relay behind the cluster to click as well. The radio would not work if this was the case though, it would go off and on ad infinitum.

Yea.. I don't have any of those problems. It doesn't sound like a clicking
relay, Sounds more like something vibrating. Can't hear it from the
engine bay side.

My odometer clicks. Took a while to figure it out. I also thought it was a relay. Just observe the 10ths on the Trip Meter & it clicks when it settles on the number. I fixed it by turning up my radio.
