fuel injection prob

G day

I have a twin spark 164. I was doing some work around the fuel injection rail that holds the injectors in. I didnt take it of but the last injector coped a small jar from me. I dont know if it was enough to upset it but the car wont start. Iv got spark at the coil. Is it posible if iv cracked or damaged the injector that it will upset the computer for the car not to start. Iv wiggled the terminals but still no go. It wasnt a big jar but will a car still fire if an injector was faulty. How can i do a simple test.

G'Day Damien,

I really doubt that you have damaged an injector, they're pretty tough.

And no, the ECU won't sense a damaged injector.

If you have a spark, then the ECU is trying to start the car.

Did you knock loose wiring to coolant temp sensor? If this picture is correct for your TS engine it looks close to injector.

Did you disconnect some ground wires at the plenum and/or valve cover?

Guys

Thanks for the advice especialy Steve and the other people. I will check what you have said. I havnt done it for 2 days as it is the weekend i have soom very sticky beck naibours that stare and give me the ****s. So i choose not to get thier attention. Its like the naibourhood marfier.

The last comment from the guy saying you didnt tell us what you were doing, I will tell you all. I research and trying to develope some fuel savers and working on some hydrogen fuel setups (created from water myself) that im playing with. All garage stuff, nothing scientific like. I set some small water lines from the radiator to my injector lines in my desiel to heat up the fuel lines to create a vapor in the fuel. ( critics please dont start on me i dont feel like argueiing that it doesnt work) because it does on my car so there. 25cents a litre saving (its a start) Repco Australia has a version that is patented with hot water heating the injector. (original inventor did what i did to discover the idea) anyway back to the subject.

I decided after getting some readings of tank checks of how much i am saving in vaporizing the fuel in the desiel id try it in the alfa. (cover and zippy tie as much hot water hose on to metal injector lines if you have them and there are no return lines ) (desiel as injector lines all metal run from the machanical fuel pump which acts as a distributer of when to send the fuel through the injector)I run the water lines from the radiator around the injectors and on the metal fuel rail up and down a copple of times. I was alittle reserved about doing this as most of the fuel is being returned back to the tank (i think) from the fuel rail in the alfa. But with hosing to heat the fuel injectors as well i though id try it. When i went to start the car it wouldnt start. Now i zippy tied the hoses to the fuel rail. Maybe in the process like some of the guys said iv probably knocked a wire which makes sence as its a tight fit with my hands around that section especially when you go under the fuel rail.

If any one wants video footage of what iv done just let me know and in the next week or so ill make a video for download.

Im also doing a video on what iv learned on making hydrogen with a few experiments and where im aiming to go (no im not aimming to be rich, its a personal goal for me to achieve called satisfaction) if anyone wants a download. Im doing a video on my experience on hydrogen to post to a Germany fuel saver site forum. These guys have done some vaporisation experiments and getting up to 40 to 70 mpg. I can feal the critics starting to itch at my feet now ill stop talking.

Just on the subject when i talk about vaporization with what iv done its actually hydrogen carbons or something like that. We could go real sientific but lets not. I do have the thery here somewhere but i couldnt be bothered finding it. I know it works thats all it matters.

Damien
