Mechanic in western North Carolina?

I left my '91 164 at a local "European car specialist" in May. The car had a bad waterpump. It is a redundant car, so I told him there was no hurry. He called saturday to tell me he was going out of business and wasn't going to fix my car, I could come pick it up... Anyway, got there, shop closed, flat tire and dead battery on the car; I was thrilled, to say the least. Now I need someplace in (hopefully) western NC to take it. I have the waterpump, but neither the skill nor the equipment to fix it myself. Anybody? Car could also be for sale if I can't find a mechanic, though my daughter would really like to have it to drive to highschool.

Define western NC with a zip code at least. There are Alfisti in NC.

I am in Lenoir (Hickory-Morganton area) 28645. I would be glad to find a shop anywhere between Charlotte in the east and Asheville in the west, and as far north as the state line. I found a shop near Hickory that said I can bring it in mid-september.

That would be an 8 hour round-trip towing. Too much, I think. I appreciate the tip, though.
