Steering Wheel Installation
So I tore my steering wheel off. I couldn't believe it, but when I spilled my coffee and pulled myself off the seat using the bottom of the wheel, the steering wheel bent upward. I'm a pretty thin guy with less than impressive muscular development, so I'm guessing the design was created to collapse if my head hit the wheel during an accident.
No matter.
I found a new steering wheel and a new hub and want to get these things on, but I'm a little afraid of that nut that hold the hub in place. My understanding is that it takes a special tool, and if I screw it up, I could be looking at a very, very serious problem.
So I'm wondering if anyone has some advice on doing this right, or if anyone thinks this job should go to my mechanic.
