I believe you can go with a size as large as 205/60/14 on the stock 14" rims. Check with

They have a section or two explaining tire sizes and tread, etc. You may want to consider a tire with a tread rating of under 220, so they grip a bit better. Yokahama AVS or Pirellis have worked for me.
