Gifford,

Apologies for the no reply to your PM. I was in Monterey image editing land for the last week or so. Whew!

Anyways the car is in no way even street safe right now although I have got it started and made a few victory laps around the neighborhood . I wish I could take it to the Willow Springs event but the list of things to fix and buy is too large to tackle right now. I did get her running but I need some new rubber for test driving before I can start to make better evaluations of what needs to be fixed first. I just finished getting a new clutch pivot arm which was the culprit of my clutch pedal hanging low. I bought a heavy duty customized one from BB member "ortak". I'm very pleased with the part and it works like a charm.

Here is my short list just to get her street safe and drivable.
  • new brake rotors and pads - current rotors are rusted over and were barely stoping the car when I drove it ?
  • new tires - still haven’t decided on the right size?
  • new gas tank - current one is leaking badly into the trunk
  • need to address a low oil pressure signal - previous owner said he thinks the car has lost a crank shaft plug?
  • new rear quarter panels rubber - windows right now just fall out
  • fix door handles - every time you close the doors there locked and the owner only gave me keys for the ignition.
  • change the rear diff fluid - I'm still waiting on my dad to bring me a 14mm hex tool
  • Need to figure out why there is coolant falling from under the dash onto my feet. I do remember seeing a picture of "roadtrip" with a similar problem.

Man I got a lot of work ahead of me and that’s just my short list.
