I didn't send them out to a wheelwright shop, but the shop that cleaned them up and painted them for me did check them and they said they had to straighten one rim. I ended up using that rim for the spare since I have 5, of course a mismatch of Fergat's and Borrani's. There's no doubt now that sending them to be straightened by a proper wheelwright shop would help them, unless the issue is with the tires or tubes. But at the time I didn't think there was a problem since they seemed fine with the old tires and there didn't seem to be any indication of impacts on the original paint, other than the previously mentioned rim that needed straightened.
