The engine started out as is a 1972 2l USA version with Spica. It was built with the common mods of the day when I first built it back in the late 70s; ported, polished, portmatched, big valves with many angles, blueprinted, balanced, 10.4 pistons, big cams, etc. I re-ringed it and converted it to Euro spec (oilpan, front cover, mech fuelpump, etc) some 8 years ago and it's been waiting for a car to go into since.
