I can't really compare the steering weight as i had 205/60/14 Momo Vegas on the car before. I think the steering is pretty light, definitely more light than my Alfetta sedan by far, but then again the Alfetta has a much smaller aftermarket steering wheel on it.

I'm not sure on variations of sump guards? How many are there? Mine looks pretty solid. I find I hit the guard most is when im going down faster sections of road that have 'humps' on them, it really just scrapes on the lowest part furthest back on the guard, sometimes it sounds pretty devastating, but when i inspect the guard afterwards, it hardly shows a noticeable scratch.
